Born in London, but moved to the Isle of Man when I was 3 years old
Schooled in Douglas the capital city of the Isle of Man
After school I joined the Royal Signals as an Apprentice Technician
at the Army Apprentice College, Harrogate.
On leaving the Army I returned to the Isle of Man and after a few years
I took up the Post of Senior Technical Officer
of the Government Communications Division
where I spent the next 25 years being the Technical Lead
in the Government Radio Systems
looking after the communications needs of the Police, Fire,
Ambulance and other Government Department
including the communications for the world famous TT Races
After a rewarding career with the Government
I took early retirement (aged 55) in 2014
so that I could enjoy life less hectic and concentrate on my hobbies
of motorhome travelling, we go to Europe every year enjoying the
warmer climate of southern Spain during the colder weeks.
Motorbikes, I enjoy riding my Triumph Rocket 3 and Royal Enfield Bullet.
Amateur Radio where I can be found on UHF, VHF and HF
using both CW and SSB and a little dabble into FT8
